Where do we come from?
- JAN 1992
- Pauline Edwards Transport (PET)
is established. Operating from a spare bedroom in the home of the founder Pauline
Edwards.
- MAY
1992
- Pauline's 19
year old daughter Vanessa joins PET as a van driver.PET purchases their first vehicle a Fiat Ferino followed by a Transit.
- AUG 1992
- PET moves into small Warehouse/Office
unit just 500 square feet
- JAN 1993
- PET completes 1 year in business
and achieves a turnover of £145,000.
- JUN 1994
- At
the age of just 21 Vanessa passes her HGV test first time.
- APR 1995
- Vanessa becomes Transport Manager
with gaining her Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- JUN 1995
- Operaters Licence granted and PET purchases their own Scania Truck.
- MAR 1997 - MAR 1999
- PET moved to central Leicester position with Office and Yard facilities.Very soon to be outgrown.
- APR 2000
- PET moves to a new site in Queniborough comprising of spacious offices together with Storage facilities over an area of 22,500 square feet.
- FEB 2001
- Pauline Edwards and Vanessa Perry are approached by Iveco to join the UK branch of Women in Transport. The other branches are in Spain, Italy and Portugal. Its aim to raise the public's perception of transport industry. Due to business commitments Pauline and Vanessa had to resign, but the group continues very successfully.
- JAN 2002
- "Happy Anniversary" 10 years our 1st Decade. Where better to celebrate than the National Space Centre with our family friends, colleagues customers and suppliers.
- JUL 2003
- PET extends Warehouse facilities to East Goscote. Now enjoying in total 35,000 square feet of storage facilities.
- PRESENT
- Storage facilities are constantly in use. PET currently has a fleet of various vehicles from Escorts to Artics. Clients include Massey Ferguson, Space Centre, TNT, Travis Perkins, Unipart, Christian Salveson.
